Library and Information Science courses at City are designed to help individuals gain a world-class academic postgraduate degree providing them with the essential skills and knowledge required to further their career in library work and modern information communication.

Our programmes are designed for busy individuals and tailored to fit around a full-time working schedule. Students can complete the programme either full-time over 12 months or part-time over 24 - 28 months with teaching on one day of the week.
Both courses are accredited by the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP).
CILIP accredited courses are recognised by the American Library Association (ALA) and The Australian Library and Information Association, which means that our graduates are qualified to apply for posts requiring professional level qualifications in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
