Professor Sir Paul Curran is our President. The Executive Team assist the President in the leadership and management of City, and the Executive Board reports to and advises the President on the strategic, operational leadership and management of City.

The Executive Team and Executive Board
The Executive Team, led by the President, assists him in the leadership and management of City.
City’s Executive Board, chaired by the Interim Deputy President, Professor Jones, reports to and advises the President on the strategic and operational leadership and management of City, responsibilities delegated to the President by Council.
The Executive Board is not part of the formal governance structure of City.

President - Professor Sir Paul Curran
President, Professor Sir Paul Curran joined City, University of London in 2010 having served previously as Vice-Chancellor at Bournemouth University and Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the University of Southampton.
Deputy President (Interim) - Professor Andrew Jones
Professor Jones chairs City’s Executive Board which reports to and advises the President on the strategic and operational leadership and management of City.
He also leads in the senior team on Research and Enterprise and International activities. He was appointed Interim Deputy President in September 2020.
Deputy President and Provost - Professor David Bolton
Deputy President Professor David Bolton is responsible for educational aspects of City's academic activity, including Student and Academic Services.
He has held several posts at City, University of London and prior to his current appointment was Dean of the School of Informatics until 2008 and Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Learning and Teaching).
Vice-President (Strategy and Planning) - Professor Zoe Radnor
Professor Zoe Radnor is responsible for leading on all activities related to the Strategy and Planning for City.
Professor Zoe Radnor is also the Executive lead for Equality and Diversity ensuring the development of Equality and Diversity strategy, policy and the implementation of Equality and Diversity initiatives.

Liz Rylatt is responsibility for the Finance and Property and Facilities teams.

Professor Andrew Jones – Deputy President (Interim)
Andrew was previously Dean of the School of Arts and Social Sciences at City and subsequently Vice-President (Research and Enterprise).
Andrew was appointed Interim Deputy President in 2020 and continues his executive leadership of City’s Research and Enterprise activities.

Professor Paolo Volpin Dean (Interim), Cass Business School
Professor Paolo Volpin is Interim Dean at the Business School (formerly Cass). Prior to this role, he has been Vice Dean and Head of the Faculty of Finance.
He is also a Research Fellow of the Centre for Economic Policy Research, and a Research Associate of the European Corporate Governance Institute.
Professor Andrew Stockley - Dean, City Law School
Professor Andrew Stockley is the Dean of the City Law School. Prior to his appointment in 2018, Professor Stockley led New Zealand’s premier Law School, the University of Auckland, as Executive Dean.
Professor Stockley was a member of the University of Oxford Law Faculty for 5 years holding the posts of Senior Tutor and Fellow at Brasenose College.

Professor Debra Salmon is the Dean of the School of Health Sciences.
For the last twelve years Debra has undertaken a significant number of leadership and management roles shaping the future of health care professional education. She is a Principle Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and an active member of the Council of Deans.

Professor Rajkumar Roy is the Dean of the School of Mathematics, Computer Science and Engineering.
Prior to his appointment he was Director of Manufacturing at Cranfield University.

Tim Longden – Director of Marketing and External Relations
Tim Longden's responsibilities include UK and International student recruitment, corporate affairs (embracing media and PR activities, events and communications), corporate marketing, digital marketing, the provision of marketing support for Schools and Professional Services and City’s alumni relations and fundraising activities.
He was previously Director of Marketing and Communications at the University of Hertfordshire.
