If you are starting a research degree find out what you can get to help pay for your course and living costs.
Accommodation, meals and other personal expenditure are not included in fees. Based on Save the Students’ National Student Money Survey (2019), we recommend a minimum maintenance allowance of at least £10,800 each year for a single student (for the full calendar year) and more for students with families or dependants.
City, University of London Hardship Fund
As part of City's commitment to provide financial assistance for their students in financial hardship, we also have the City, University of London Hardship Fund. The fund provides financial support to all our current students who have met unforeseen financial hardship towards the end of their course.
For many students, this makes all the difference in allowing them to focus on their studies and graduate successfully.
