City Short Courses: Studying a New Language

Follow our students’ experiences of learning French and Chinese at City.

What level is right for you?

Whether you want basic beginners training or you’ve almost perfected your Japanese, our intensive courses give you the chance to practice conversation in a small group and explore the country’s culture.

Joining us part time in the evenings, you’ll be able to fit learning Japanese around your busy schedule. It’ll benefit your career too – your official City certificate will show you’ve studied with a central London university.

Pick from start dates throughout the year, and find a level that suits you. City’s Short Courses are quite unique in regularly running all levels from beginners to advanced. Each level is made up of three parts – take a module on its own or enroll on the full year for the best value.
