Learning a new language can be challenging. But, with support from qualified Russian tutors, you’ll quickly master everyday conversation. Taught in the evenings at our London university campus, our interactive short courses are designed to easily squeeze into your schedule.
Whether you want to explore basic topics with other beginners or join us at a more advanced level, we have a part-time course for you. Each level is made up of three parts which gradually explore more complex topics and grammar.
When do you want to start? Join us at City in October, January or April/May. It’s also your choice whether you enrol on each part separately or commit to the full year to secure the best price.

Beginners - year 1
Develop a solid grasp of basic Russian. You’ll explore everyday vocabulary and simple grammatical structures.
Join us here if you have little or no experience of learning Russian.

Perfect and improve your Russian beginners skills and communicate with greater fluency.
Working CEFR A2 level.

- completed our Russian Beginners syllabus or a similar course
- reached low CEFR A1 level
- studied Russian formally 60-100 hours.

Intermediate - year 3
Explore more advanced topics and sophisticated grammatical structures.
Working towards CEFR B1 level.

- completed our Lower Intermediate syllabus or a similar course
- have a good or recent GCSE in Russian
- reached CEFR A2 level
- studied Russian formally for 120-160 hours.
