This residence is offered exclusively to City, University of London students by EC1 Residences, a third party housing provider.
Please note: Willen House will not be an option for the 2022/23 academic year, as this hall will be undergoing refurbishment work from September 2022. Please view details of alternative options: Alliance House and IQ City.
The main features of Willen House are as follows:
- 157 self-contained studio apartments, each with their own en-suite bathroom and kitchenette
- A common room with access to a television, pool table, air hockey and table tennis
- Bicycle storage is available to all students
- For the summer months, Willen House has two outdoor terraces complete with tables and chairs
- Accommodation for students with mobility support needs is available
- Approximately 10 minutes' walk from City, University of London's main site at Northampton Square and 10 minutes' walk from Bayes Business School.
In addition, the halls have the following features:
- On-site management and staffed reception during business hours
- 24-hour CCTV in operation and security guard on duty out of hours
- Self service laundry facilities.

The following are included in the cost of the rent:

Not included in the cost of the rent are:
- Telephone bill
- TV licence (please see the TV Licensing website for information on if you need a license and how to obtain one)
- Bedding (sheets, pillow, duvet etc.), however bedding packs are available for £25 to be collected on your arrival at Willen House
- Cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery in kitchens.
The halls are self-catered, so you will be responsible for buying and preparing your own food.

Willen House is on Willen House, 8-26 Bath Street, London EC1V 9DX.
The hall is situated on Bath Street in the area of Islington and Clerkenwell - an ideal location for students studying both at the main City campus (Northampton Square) and at the Business School.
Living in Willen House means you're within easy walking distance of all City's teaching facilities and close to many trendy restaurants, cafes and bars. You're also close to the Barbican Centre, one of London's liveliest cultural venues. The Barbican offers galleries, a theatre, cinema screens and concert halls.
Whilst you're able to enjoy the culture and atmosphere of Islington, you're also only fifteen minutes away by tube from the West End and Covent Garden. The area is well served by bus routes, with a major bus interchange located near Angel tube station.
