This hall of residence is offered to City, University of London students by iQ Student Accommodation, a third party housing provider with a mixture of undergraduates and postgraduate students (City rooms are only allocated to our postgraduate students).
The main features of iQ City are as follows:
- En-suite rooms are 12-13 m2 with four foot double beds, shower, wash basin and toilet and shared kitchen
- Shared kitchens are shared between up to 15 people and includes, two-ring hob, four-ring hob, oven, microwave/grill, fridge-freezer, toaster, kettle, personal locker, table and chairs
- All rooms include study desk, bookcase, pedestal drawers, wardrobe and chair
- Residents have access to an outdoor courtyard and benefit from 4Gaming and 4TV which is included in the rent
- Accommodation for students with mobility support needs is available
- Approximately 7 minutes' walk from City, University of London's main site at Northampton Square and 11 minutes' walk from Bayes Business School.
In addition, iQ City has the following facilities:
- Self-catered - all halls of residence are self-catered, you are therefore responsible for buying and preparing your own food.
- Non-smoking environment
- On-site management and staffed reception during business hours
- 24-hour CCTV in operation and security team on duty out of hours
- Free 100 mb/s Wifi
- Laundry facilities - residents have a choice of topping up a laundry card online or downloading the app to use the machines.

Cost
The following are included in the cost of the rent:

- Internet access - 100MB.
Not included in the cost of the rent are:
- Telephone bill
- TV licence.
The halls are self-catered, so you'll be responsible for buying and preparing your own food.

Location
iQ City is situated in the local area of Clerkenwell - an ideal location for students studying both at the main campus in Northampton Square and at the Business School as it is within easy walking distance of all City's facilities.
The Barbican Centre, one of London's liveliest cultural venues, is nearby as well as a plethora of restaurants, bars and pubs of Farringdon and Shoreditch.
The area is well served by buses as well as the Underground. Living in London's Zone 1 means you are within easy travelling distance from all other parts of London.

Students who are offered accommodation at iQ City will sign an agreement with iQ Student Accommodation and not with City, University of London and will therefore be bound by iQ Student Accommodation conditions of residence.
