Undergraduate and foundation BSc (Hons)

I am confident that connections I have created during the Snapshot Scheme will help me in the future as I progress through my career

Graduation date: 2016

What Snapshot activities did you take part in?

I participated in Snapshot Challenges 1 and 2: Snapshotter's Got Talent. In addition I attended several meetings with industry professionals at the campus. Those included meetings with Shah Hussain, Change manager at RBS, independent consultant Mark Howarth and Sreela Banerjee, Advisor for Gillams LeVoir.

What did you enjoy most about it?

The most enjoyable were Snapshot Challenges - answering various questions on the spot and preparing a presentation was both challenging and exciting. The feedback I received from the Careers team has guided me to improve my performances and will be beneficial when face an actual interview environment.

How will this experience help you in your future career?

Meetings with industry professionals have helped me understand who the people that work in the field are and what is required of me to become one of them. I hope that connections I have created with them today will help me in the future as I progress through my career.

Why would you recommend other students join the Snapshot Scheme?

Snapshot Scheme is a great opportunity to meet people from the industry the student is interested in. The scheme fosters professional development and once a student is faced with the professional environment, he will have the experience to deal with it. Last but not least, Snapshot Scheme has made me feel more confident when I meet new professionals.

What do you want to do after university?

Upon graduation I would like to gain experience in finance industry and later set up my own enterprise within the industry.
