Mafruhdha MiahLaw LLB (Hons)
Meeting other students as career-motivated as myself and gaining useful and applicable knowledge for my chosen career is the best thing about Snapshot
Graduation date: 2015
What Snapshot activities did you take part in?
Snapshotters' Challenge 1: Commercial awareness, Snapshotters' Challenge 2: Snashot's Got Talent, LinkedIn session with Charles Hardy, Meeting with Gloria from Willis Re.
What did you enjoy most about it?
Meeting other students as career-motivated as myself and gaining useful and applicable knowledge for my chosen career.
How will this experience help you in your future career?
It has made me more confident in using my skills and has given me valuable knowledge on aspects of interviewing and demonstrating my commercial awareness as well as leadership and team building skills. Having this scheme on my CV has given me a great talking point with potential employers as to how I've used my time wisely whilst at university outside of my studies and the usual social activities.
Why would you recommend other students join the Snapshot Scheme?
It's a great place to meet people from outside of your own course in a productive manner. It's both enjoyable and has given me great experience and skills that I can build on both during and after my time at university.
What do you want to do after university?
I would like to qualify as a solicitor and working somewhere in the City practicing corporate, real estate or perhaps employment law.
