Johannes is a current student on City’s Master in Public Health (MPH) programme.

Why did you choose to study at City, University of London?

I come from a nursing background and I always wanted to do an MPH, but needed a programme that fitted with my needs – being in full time employment and raising two young children. This was only possible at City, University of London.

With City’s world renowned academic excellence, I knew I would be assessed to the highest academic level with other professionals such as hospital administrators, non-governmental organisations workers and doctors from all over world.

I knew the MPH at City was robust and academically challenging because of its interdisciplinary nature as it offer opportunities to make a real difference to people’s lives world over.

What do you enjoy most about your course?

The library services and the resources at student’s disposal are world class. Since starting my MPH at City, I thoroughly enjoyed the diversity of the class, the varying expertise of the lectures from across the globe had a big influence on how I perceive public health and global health disciplines.

What is the best thing about studying at City?

City, University of London has an invaluable student support, academic research and high academic teaching.
