The annual Prize-Giving Day rewards City’s MSc students

733792The Department of Computer Science held its annual Prize-Giving Day for postgraduate students on 14th June 2023.

Also marking the end of the academic year, the well-attended event brought together current postgraduate students and past graduates from the Department and coincided with the School of Science and Technology’s Postgraduate Development Day.

Director of City’s MSc Data Science programme, Dr Aidan Slingsby, presented the winners with their prizes.

A total of nine prizes were awarded, with four prize-winners attending the event in person.

They are:

  • Alessandro Alviani (MSc Data Science, Department of Computer Science Best Internship Student Prize);
  • Abhimanyu Acharya (MSc Data Science, Department of Computer Science Best Student Prize - Technical Stream);
  • Nur Iriani Atiqah Binti Amirudin (MSc Human-Computer Interaction Design Outstanding Project Prize - Applied Stream);
  • Alexandra Flint (MSc Human-Computer Interaction Design, Department of Computer Science Best Student Prize – Applied Stream);
  • Rameez Akhtar Khanzada (MSc Cyber Security, Department of Computer Science Outstanding Project Prize – Technical Stream);
  • Brenner Swenson (MSc Data Science, Department of Computer Science Outstanding Project Prize – Technical Stream);
  • Nadra Hirei (MSc Business Systems Analysis and Design, Best in MSc Business Systems)
