I am so grateful for all these job opportunities because not only did I meet amazing people but I learned to appreciate the work of others

Graduation date: 2014

What type of work were you involved in?

Anything and everything - from assisting in open days to standing in Oxford Street and asking random people to fill in surveys…honestly I am so grateful for all these job opportunities because not only did I meet amazing people but I learned to appreciate the work of others.

How has your Unitemps experience enhanced your employment skills?

Since Unitemps have a variety of jobs available, the number of skills I gained with them is uncountable. There are so many examples but naming a few I had my communication skills enhanced through the telephone campaign, my ability to work under pressure when I was working as a survey interviewer, and my confidence as I often had to speak in public (whilst giving campus tour or when drawing on my own experience of university).

Why would you recommend other students register with Unitemps?

I strongly believe that Unitemps is the unrivaled services across the whole University - not only are the staff of Unitemps extremely supportive and lovely, you get to meet so many new people and earn some money. I would even recommend for the university to make it compulsory for students to register with Unitemps!

What do you want to do after university?

Honestly, I do not know but working with Unitemps has guided me to areas of work that I would like to explore or steer away from.
