Biography
George's research interests surround information interaction: from web search, through browsing digital libraries, to accessing information on a mobile phone.
Dr. Buchanan is principal investigator of an EPSRC funded project, "Document Triage in the Information Seeking Process", and co-investigator on two other projects. This project reflects his main current interest: to discover how people interact with newly found documents, and how computer technology can assist users make better informed relevance decisions.
Current collaborations include two projects with University College London and Swansea University, and an ongoing involvement with the New Zealand Digital Library Project at the University of Waikato.
