The Rt Hon. Lord Mayor of London, Alderman Vincent Keaveny, visited the new City Law School Building on Monday 9th May.

He was hosted by the Dean of The City Law School, Professor Andrew Stockley, and the Deputy Dean, Professor Richard Ashcroft, and visited some of the Law School Building's new facilities, including the Moot Court, the Law Library, and the Community Law Centre's reception and interview spaces.

He had morning tea with staff members and students, who very much appreciated his interest in the Law School.

676329The Lord Mayor tweeted after his visit: 'As rector of @CityUniLondon, it was great to chat to students and staff of the City Law School at its excellent new home, the Sebastian Street building. I know the future of law in the City is in good hands.'

Vincent Keaveny is a qualified solicitor who has been a Partner at DLA Piper since 2015.

As Lord Mayor, he is also the Rector of City, University of London.
