Airline Maintenance Course overview
This CPD course examines the business priorities for manufacturers, aircraft owners, aircraft operators and aircraft maintenance organisations, and how these different and sometimes conflicting entities need to interact effectively and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
You will be able to formulate the demands and priorities of the airline operational environment, and understand the demands placed on aircraft maintenance through requirements for airline, airport and international operations. You will be able to analyse the economics of aircraft maintenance, and how to drive efficiency
and effectiveness.
Who is it for?
For current maintenance employees in junior and middle management positions to study the role of maintenance in an airline or stand lone maintenance facility, regulatory requirements, development of Vision and Mission, stakeholder management and how maintenance creates revenues.

- Synthesize strategic approaches to managing the various maintenance levels: operational, scheduled and major; and identify the key deliverables from aircraft maintenance managers.
Assessment and certificates
There is no assessment or coursework with this CPD. Students will be asked to submit a reflective journal about the topics covered and will receive a certificate of participation.

Eligibility
There is no prior knowledge to this CPD, other than a general awareness of the aviation industry practices – there is a pre-reading resource list that will help you prepare for the course.
English requirements
For those students whose first language is not English the following qualification is also required:
