This module discusses a complete range of topics related to airline training including its business and financial aspect.
Topics covered include governance and regulation of training, required regulatory training for airline staff and training organisation functions.
In addition, it raises awareness of the emerging technologies for airline training.
Who is it for?
This module is suitable for anyone who would like to learn about Airline Training and its management. This module may also interest those who would like to understand how to design training in a systematic manner.
Timetable
Modules are expected to run from 09:00-17:00 on the first two days and from 09:00-13:00 on the final day, subject to confirmation.
20 hours of contact learning over two and a half days with several group activities.
The module will be delivered online.

What will I learn?
The module content is structured around the following:
- An introduction to Airline training organization and structure.
- An explanation of how Airline training can be broadly divided into two categories, regulatory and non-regulatory.
- A discussion of training related governing bodies and regulation.
- A discussion of the regulatory training required in an airline for staff such as pilots, engineers, cabin crew, ground handling agents and dispatchers and the partnership with the National Aviation Regulator.
- A discussion of training organisation functions.
- A discussion of training methods currently available as an alternative to the regulatory training.
Assessment and certificates
Classroom lecture and Group Activity delivered in a facilitated style.
Students will receive a certificate of attendance following successful completion of the module. Please note full attendance is required.
Eligibility
This module is designed for Aviation professionals working in operational or regulatory roles.
English requirements
For those students whose first language is not English the following qualification is also required:
