Airline Business Course overview
The course comprises a series of lectures on topical and key airline business-related subjects.
These include a review of how the airlines are performing in the current commercial climate, insights into economic trends, both from cost and revenue generation perspectives, and the growing importance of environmental responsibilities.
The simulation provides opportunities to test your own ideas. You will build an appreciation of the importance of teamwork, leadership, along with the complexities of running an airline on a day-to-day basis.
- Network planners will improve knowledge of the behaviour of different business models and the relationship between seat capacity and the schedule.
- Analysts will understand the importance of prioritizing and processing data quickly in order to assist tactical and strategic decision-making.
- Economists and financiers will fine tune skills in spotting weaknesses in operating cost and managing the cash of the business.
- Flight operations, engineering and maintenance personnel will appreciate the value of maximizing operational efficiency and the practical advantages of commonality.
- Students of air transport management can capture ta holistic view of the how the airline business works in practice.
