As voted for by students, City’s School of Health Sciences’ annual Practice Excellence Awards are an opportunity to thank colleagues who provide invaluable support to students’ learning during their time on placement in clinical practice.

City, University of London's School of Health Sciences Practice Excellence Awards recognise and celebrate outstanding achievements and contributions of practice placement providers and colleagues who support students’ learning during their time on placement in clinical practice.

Each year, School of Health Sciences students on undergraduate and pre-registration programmes are invited to nominate their practice placement providers and staff for awards, with nominations judged by a panel comprising of members of the School‘s Practice Education Committee.

In previous years, the School has hosted an in-person awards ceremony at Senate House, London. However, current pandemic restrictions meant an alternative approach was required for the 2020 awards.

With this in mind, video-recorded presentations from colleagues across the School were collated and disseminated to award winners, along with certificates and prizes.

A thank you from Professor Debra Salmon, Dean of the School of Health Sciences, and Judy Brook, Associate Dean, Placements and Partnerships:
