World-leading composer Natasha Barrett, widely known for her work in electronic, acousmatic, and live electroacoustic music, also a City alumna, will lead a workshop on 3D sound featuring SPARC Lab’s Ambisonic dome, a 24.4-channel loudspeaker system surrounding the public. With her own compositions as a guide, Barrett will introduce Ambisonics techniques and invite attendees to participate in hands-on demonstrations. Learn more about Barrett’s work here.
Workshop participants are invited to the following evening portrait concert offering Natasha Barrett carte blanche to introduce listeners into her 3D sound world. Please sign up separately if you are attending the concert here.
