A special screening of British artist Ian Giles' film 'After BUTT' (2018), which explores the social and cultural impact of iconic gay men's magazine, BUTT. The film is based on several interviews the artist conducted with the men who edited, wrote, photographed and contributed to BUTT magazine during its initial ten years of existence, between 2001 and 2011.
Please be advised that this film features still images of full-frontal male nudity.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Ian Giles, where we'll discuss the film's themes, the community that developed around and through BUTT magazine, and what led Ian to this project. Feel free to bring your lunch and your friends!
