How brands communicate - the use of communications in brand promotions and management (Public Relations and Strategic Communications MA and Marketing Communications MA taster session)
This session looks at real life scenarios of brand management and how communications can be used for both marketing and public relations to influence external audiences.
Dr. Raluca Moise, a senior lecturer in Communications will lead an online taster discussing how to navigate the use of social media from an organisational standpoint.
It will look at a brand activism work scenario, common in industry, where brands use social media campaigns to attract a specific audience, align with a world view or be deliberately controversial, and how this works alongside or conflicts with the role of PR and brand reputational management.
She will look at how we can turn to communications and organizational theories and apply these to working scenarios and the pros and cons of each approach.
This session is open to all individuals wanting to work as a communications specialist, whether this is marketing, press communications, Brand management or internal communications.
This is especially designed to give participants a taster of what studying MA Public Relations and Communications or MA Marketing Communications at City, University of London is like.
This talk is part of our Postgraduate Virtual Fair hosted on 5th - 7th March.
There will be a Q&A at the end of the webinar for interested applicants.
