Sustainable Advanced Air Mobility (SAAM) is a rapidly developing field with the potential to revolutionise transportation, logistics, and urban planning. In order to unlock this potential, it is crucial for stakeholders to engage in open dialogue, exchange knowledge, collaborate effectively, in an ecosystem where flight test would be possible in a world class premier event.

The (ISBN-referenced) Proceedings of the ATOS2024 will include extended keynotes, expert papers, and a summary of the panel session findings.
A special aim and product of the Symposium will be a ‘Strategic Masterplan and Framework for the Implementation of Sustainable Advanced Air Mobility’.

Themes and topics
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) sustainable aviation model with its four pillars of Operations, Infrastructure, Technology and Economics will provide the basis of the industry-inspired thematic framework for the underlying elements to be considered for any air transport system. Consequently, this will bring the engineering world of technology, infrastructure, and operations together with that of economics, financing, and Market-Based-Mechanisms.
A fifth theme is added to the four IATA themes to specifically introduce a perspective that is driven by metrics and KPI that relate to the Environmental and Societal impact and the implied need for the Governance thereof.
It is the intention that this thematic framework will then form the basis of the aforementioned: ‘Strategic Masterplan and Framework for the Implementation of Sustainable Advanced Air Mobility’.
The symposium will include key performance indicators as identified by SESAR and NEXTGEN such as efficiency, environmental impact, safety, security and cost. The ultimate application to the potential of Sustainable Advanced Air Mobility (SAAM) this will include capturing and consolidating the knowledge shared and developed through industry and scientific papers, active panel discussions and debate.
