About City University Chamber Choir
City University Chamber Choir comprises vocalists from the Department of Performing Arts. In recent seasons, they have performed large-scale works including Haydn’s Missa in tempore belli ("Paukenmesse") and Vivaldi’s Gloria. Other recent programmes have explored work by Arvo Pärt, music for royal occasions, music inspired by birdsong, Christmas carols at City, and a wide range of other music, from pop to classical, Byrd to the Beatles.
In 2018 and 2019, the choir travelled to Paris to participate in the festival de printemps de l’Université PSL, together with other international vocal groups, performing Brahm’s German Requiem and Schubert’s Mass in E flat.
They are directed by Honey Rouhani, critically acclaimed operatic soprano, and accompanied by pianist Fred Scott.
Attendance at City events is subject to our terms and conditions.
