Abstract
A key consideration in designing clinical trials is how to maximise statistical and operational efficiency.
This presentation gives an overview of adaptive trials and other designs aimed at improving efficiency, focusing on late phase trials and illustrated with real-world examples.
About the speakers
Dr Ed Waddingham is a research fellow and senior statistician at Imperial Clinical Trials Unit (ICTU).
His current and recent research portfolio covers a range of disease areas including critical care, multiple sclerosis and mental health.
