We are building an AI system that integrates both probabilistic machine learning and symbolic graphical approaches, able to handle user input in any format. Show us, tell us, ask us what’s wrong, and we can diagnose the problem without human intervention.
In this talk we will describe the challenges of building a system that can handle multimodal input, the limitations of both Knowledge Graphs & Machine Learning, and explain why we developed our bespoke hybrid approach.
About the Speakers:
This talk will have the following speakers.
Matteo Benocci
Matteo is a Research Engineer at HomeX, with a PhD in philosophy, and expertise in analytic ontology and formal logic. As the in-house philosopher, Matteo has overall responsibility for HomeX's core ontology (FRODO) and their proprietary knowledge representation language (COOL).
Ollie Keers
Ollie is a Senior Research Engineer at HomeX, working at the interface between the Graph & Machine Learning teams. He completed the Data Science MSc at City in 2021, with a dissertation on Knowledge Graph Visualization.
Laurent Repond
Laurent is the Head of R&D at HomeX, with overall responsibility for developing automated diagnostic solutions. He specialises in automated reasoning systems.
