Abdulnaser Sayma, Professor of Energy Engineering, Head of Department of Engineering (School of Science and Technology) and Director of the Thermo-Fluid Research Centre will present a summary of the research activities within the Thermo-Fluid Research Centre related to sustainable energy technology. He will also describe the new undergraduate engineering programmes starting in 2023 and the emphasis on sustainability in the engineering curriculum.
This will be followed by an in person light lunch and opportunity to network and ask more questions.

Come watch the free screening of “Kiss the Ground” - see how a revolutionary group of celebrity activists, scientists and politicians are banding together to counter the threatening disaster and feed the world.
Hosted jointly with the Centre for Food Policy and the Students Union. With treats and drinks available and a venue that will give you a real cinema feel, what’s there to miss?

Guided Mindfulness Walk (approximately 2.3miles)

City encourages you to take some time for a relaxed, mindful journey in the surrounding area to campus through green, tranquil spaces, discovering some hidden gems along the way.
This guided event will teach you how to incorporate mindfulness into your walks, and will also enable those new to City to familiarise themselves with the local area.
We encourage you to install the Go Jauntly app and create an account in advance, and to download the digital handout, as we will also teach you how to use the app to repeat the walk independently and access others! Hosted by Neil from the Neurodiversity team in Student Health and Wellbeing.

Countering the Climate Crisis in Literature and Culture
