How did you get involved in the health and fitness industry?
I undertook and achieved my CYQ combined Level 2 Fitness Instructor / Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification in the summer of 2013.
I also provide one-to-one and online personal training, run my own free advice / information page on Facebook: Matt Dale Fitness and am a co-founder of Eat The Food, Lift The Weight, a free fat-loss support group on Facebook.
What is your specialist area?
Calisthenics (bodyweight training).
How many days do you workout?
I generally aim to workout 3 to 4 days per week.
How do you stay motivated?
I allow my results and the feelings I get after training motivate me. I am also strongly motivated by other fitness professionals whom I admire and follow through social media.
What is your favourite training session and why?
I particularly enjoy heavy squatting days. I am currently working on free-standing handstand push-ups; hoping to do at least three by the end of 2016.
What is your favourite indulgence?
Coffee, peanut butter and chocolate buttons.
What is your favourite music track to workout to?
I like listening to Chemical Brothers and Moby when working out…any steady, upbeat tracks with a consistent rhythm.
