
City Law School academics discuss migration at WC2 Symposium
City Law School academics contributed to the recent World Cities 2 (WC2) symposium, held at Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada, from 12th to 16th August.Associate Dean International, Professor Elaine Fahey; Lecturer in Law,
Dr Adrienne Yong; Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) Lecturer, Lynne Townley; and PhD candidate, Maja Zarkovic, presented and participated on the theme of global migration in the ‘Knowledge, Culture and Urban Affairs’ thematic strand of the Symposium.
Professor Fahey presented on ‘The delegalisation and hyperlegalisation of EU migration’, while Dr Yong presented on ‘The Deportation of EU citizens and the Brexit negotiations.
City is a partner in the WC2 network of World Cities universities.
The WC2 network was established in September 2010 by City, University of London and currently has 10 member institutions.
