Dan Philps PhD, CFA and the head of Rothko Investment Strategies will deliver a webinar on cutting-edge research behind the latest financial applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) methods and its growing role in the future of financial markets. Participants can expect to learn the advantages of AI and ML relative to the limitations of the status quo - traditional quantitative approaches to investment management, which are ripe for disruption. Dan will illustrate a live, running AI based investment approach applied to Emerging Markets, an asset class which lends itself to the application of AI technologies.

About the speaker

Dr Dan Philps is head of Rothko Investment Strategies, is a systematic equities investment manager, and is an artificial intelligence (AI) researcher. He has over 20 years of managing systematic strategies for major institutions worldwide. Prior to Rothko, he was a senior portfolio manager at Mondrian Investment Partners. Before 1998, Philps specialised in the design/development of trading and risk models for a number of major investment banks,.

He holds a PhD in AI and Computer Science from City, University of London, a BSc (Hons) from King’s College London, is a CFA charterholder, a member of CFA Society of the UK.
