Harnessing Employers: building disability and mental health confidence

Barclays goal is to create an accessible and inclusive business where people of all abilities will want to bank and work. We are committed to attracting talented people and supporting those with a disability or health condition by providing the equipment and adjustments that enable them to excel. Our report published last year, Building disability and mental health confidence, sets out our journey to becoming an accessible and inclusive business. This presentation will reflect our experiences included in the report and share some of the insights we have learned on this journey about becoming an inclusive employer.

Paulette has been a Director of Diversity and Inclusion at Barclays since April 2016. She leads the D&I strategy and campaigns across global functions, and has lead responsibility for driving forward the disability agenda across the business, including Barclays campaign on disability, mental health and wellbeing, This is Me. Paulette joined Barclays in 2010, following six years as Deputy Chief Executive of Windsor Leadership running leadership development programmes for senior leaders from across all sectors of society. Previously, she headed up communications at Save the Children, VSO, and The Conservation Volunteers where she was a board member for 7 years. She currently sits on the board of the Business Disability Forum, Lord Mayor’s Appeal and International Broadcasting Trust.
