Series: School of Health Sciences Film Club

Screening of an award winning film that tells the story of a working-class woman n London in 1950s who performs illegal abortions. Vera Drake will be followed by a discussion of change in termination rights in England.

This screening is for an educational audience of staff, students and other persons directly connected with the activities of the School of Health Sciences, City, University of London.

The SHS film club meets every month to view and discuss a film suggested by staff, students and other persons directly connected to the activiites of the school. Vera Drake was suggested by a City, Univeristy of London midwifery student and this screening will be run in collaboration with the midwifery society .
