Managing Change CPD
The focus of the module is on principles and practice of change management from a holistic perspective. It includes an examination of the key concepts and models of change management and how these can be applied critically at an organisational and individual level in a range of healthcare settings.

Eligibility
Entry requirements for BSc Health Sciences (online) programme:- 120 Level 1 credit points and 120 Level 2 credit points in healthcare related subjects
- Current registration with a professional and regulatory body (healthcare)
English Requirements
For those students whose first language is not English one of the following qualifications is also required:- GCSE English Language at Grade C or above
- IELTS: 6.0
What will I learn?
The module will enable you to:- Demonstrate a clear understanding of the external and internal motives and drivers for organisational change
- Discuss the key concepts underpinning the management of change including resistors
- Recognise the complexity of managing change in a dynamic and multidisciplinary context and the impact of organisational change on healthcare directorates, departments and disciplines
- Adapt and apply change management approaches appropriate for different healthcare delivery contexts
- Anticipate local level reaction to change and propose a strategy for dealing with any resistance.
Teaching and Assessment
Mode of deliveryTeaching methods include online seminars which include interactive applications, online discussions and other opportunities for reflection on how theories are linked to practice.
Assessment
Assessment for the module consists of a single 3000 word essay addressing a change process from your own practice area which should be your own individual work.
