City is part of the WC2 Network that brings together top universities located in the heart of major world cities to address contemporary urban issues. This year the WC2 network is launching an interdisciplinary, collaborative and virtual project, inviting undergraduate students from participating universities of the network to join. Participation in the project will provide you with the opportunity to:

  • Expand your global network and gain skills in online intercultural collaboration,
  • Join a cross-university team with students from across the network,
  • Select a topic of interest based on the WC2 themes and develop a group project that will be presented to top academics in the field,
  • Enrol in a RMIT micro-credential - Working with Global Clients Online,
  • Receive a WC2 Certificate of Participation,
  • Participate in two workshops offered by Common Purpose as part of the program,
  • Present (virtually or in person) at next year’s WC2 conference, which we hope will be hosted by RMIT at their campus in Melbourne, Australia (for top selected projects).

Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to engage with students from major cities across the world!

  • Application Deadline: October 30th, 2020
  • Team building begins at the beginning of November

UK101: Common Purpose Leadership ProgrammeCommon purpose logo

Common Purpose asked 1000 young people across the UK what kind of leaders they want to become. They condensed the insights they gained, and the result is UK101 Leadership Programme.

UK101 Leaders combine and strike a balance between four elements: being RadicalStrategicEmbracing, and Resilient.

UK101 is a free, online leadership development programme that explores the concept of UK101 Leadership. As a participant, you will learn alongside a diverse group of peers to develop your own UK101 leadership skills through interactive exercises, engaging articles, and discussion forums. You will also hear stories of UK101 leadership from a wide range of senior and emerging leaders, such as a migrant rights activist, a social entrepreneur, a scientist, an Extinction Rebellion organizer, a former NHS doctor, a mother and daughter duo, and the head of a university business school. The programme takes between 4-6 hours which you can complete at your own pace during the 7-week cohort.
