This postgraduate bursary programme provides support for young people on a variety of MA and MSc courses, including City's MA Magazine Journalism and MA Publishing.
Successful students receiving the award in 2023/24 will each receive a bursary of £9,000 and will be offered the opportunity to receive mentoring during their studies from an appropriate member of the Stationers’ Company, taking into account the specific interests of the student.
The bursaries for City, University of London are funded with support from The Printing Charity.
Criteria and participating institutions
Applicants must normally be under 30 on 1st September 2023, resident in the UK, and classified as paying UK tuition fees. If you are 30 or under and wish to apply, please discuss your application with the relevant Course Director and Administrator.
Applicants must hold a conditional or unconditional offer for one of the identified courses available at City.
- MA Magazine Journalism
- MA Publishing.
Applications must be supported by two references, one academic and one personal from someone of standing who can support the financial statements made in the application.
The course team will draw up a shortlist of up to three students from each university whose names will be submitted to the Foundation.
Shortlisted candidates will then be invited to interview at Stationers’ Hall in London in late June 2023. It is essential that applicants are available for these interviews. Each relevant course director will be part of the interview panel.
