Airworthiness Course overview
On this course you will explore the basis for manufacturers, local authorities, aircraft owners, aircraft operators, and aircraft maintenance organisations to achieve initial airworthiness and how the continuing airworthiness is maintained.
Each stakeholder must fulfil a specific role to maintain an acceptable level of safety for customers and operators. You will be able to understand the influence you have in your specific function in the aviation system. This will allow you to influence the safety in aviation positively.
Who is it for?
Management and non-management aviation personnel to include all system-relevant functions in the entire aviation system. On completion participants will understand the applied principles and limitations of airworthiness, regulatory requirements, and the different roles the stakeholders must play in achieving and maintaining airworthiness.

- 9am - 5pm Thursday and Friday, 9am - 1pm on Saturday

Knowledge and understanding:
- Define and discuss the roles and responsibilities of the regulators, manufacturers, owners, operators, and maintenance organizations concerning airworthiness
- Define how an aircraft is deemed airworthy and how it is kept in airworthiness condition
- Define how continuing airworthiness is achieved
- Define how an aircraft receives a Certificate of Airworthiness.
Assessment and certificates
There is no assessment or coursework with this CPD. Students will be asked to submit a reflective journal about the topics covered and will receive a certificate of participation.

Eligibility
There is no prior knowledge to this CPD, other than a general awareness of the aviation industry practices – there is a pre-reading resource list that will help you prepare for the course.
English requirements
You will need a good level of spoken and written English to enrol on this course.
