Legal Practice Course

City School of Law goes beyond the call of duty to help prepare students for a career in law.

Why did you choose to study the LPC?

Law, with its abounding complexities, forms the very foundation of human civilisation.  My fascination with the law led me to pursue a career in the legal profession.  The Legal Practice Course honed my ability to navigate that profession and gave context and application to the theory I had learned in previous studies.

Why did you choose The City Law School?

I was particularly drawn to City’s unique history, which stretches back to the Inns of Court School of Law.

What makes City unique?

City School of Law have a colourful and caring faculty that truly wish each of their students success.  They go beyond the call of duty to help prepare students for a career in law.

How has studying the LPC helped you to take the next steps in your career?

The LPC rounded out my legal education by applying the theory I had learned in the LLB to real life.  It put the law into context and taught me not just how the law works, but how the profession works.  It equipped me with the skills necessary to practice law.

What do you enjoy most about studying in London?

London is the capital of the world.  Its rich history and cultural heritage are unrivalled.  It’s a bustling city brimming with adventure and opportunity.  It really is the place to be – especially for future lawyers, with its access to so many courts and chambers.

What advice or tips would you give to future LPC students?

Keep up with assigned reading and don’t neglect extracurricular opportunities.  Always network – you never know who you’ll meet or how they can help you.
