City ranked among the world’s best in nine subjects
QS World University Rankings by Subject place City among the best in the world
City University London features among the top universities in the world across nine subjects according to the QS World University Rankings by Subject. The prestigious international rankings released this week, highlight the world’s top universities across 42 subjects and have been published every year since 2011.
The rankings take into account academic reputation, research impact and employer reputation. They consider more than 3,000 universities and, of these, evaluate nearly 900 across the world to produce the list of leading universities by subject area.
City was ranked in the top 50 in the world for one subject and the top 100 for two further subject areas. Communication & Media Studies has retained its top 50 position to be ranked at number 38 in the world and 5th in the UK.
Accounting & Finance and Business & Management Studies were both placed in the top 100 in the world.
Other highlights include Psychology which retained its position from last year and was ranked in the top 200. Economics & Econometrics was also ranked in the top 200.
Engineering – Mechanical climbed the rankings to be rated in the top 250. Statistics & Operational Research also retained its position in the top 200.
