Professor Panicos Kyriacou elected council member of EAMBES
Professor of Biomedical Engineering, Professor Panicos Kyriacou, has been elected a council member of the European Alliance of Medical and Biological Engineering and Science (EAMBES).
EAMBES is a non-profit international organization incorporated in accordance with Belgian law. The organisation federates the majority of scientific societies and academic and research institutions in Europe that are involved in Biomedical Engineering - which is more appropriately defined as 'Medical and Biological Engineering and Science'.
Responding to news of his election, Professor Kyriacou said:
"It is a great opportunity to be part of a very active European team which has as its sole focus the promotion of Medical and Biological Engineering across all EU countries and beyond. I am looking forward to working with all of the other members and contributing my services towards the improvement of the health and well-being of European citizens through the application of Medical and Biological Engineering and Science."
Professor Kyriacou will be also be attending and addressing the EAMBES General Assembly in Brussels on 12 March 2013.
