Pete Polanyk has been working in design for nearly 25 years at national newspapers (including The Guardian and The Independent) as well as several advertising agencies and publishing houses. He also designs on a freelance basis, record sleeves, posters and CD covers for various musical projects. He uses Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator amongst other design applications.
He has been teaching for nearly 17 years at City University of London and has also taught Photoshop and Graphic Design at the University of Greenwich, University of the Arts, London and private clients.
He is a great believer in the "do it yourself" ethic in relation to self publishing, and in his spare time he writes for blogs and produces music, self releasing it on his own label and also designing the associated visual material (sleeve design, flyers, newsletters etc). His artwork has appeared in various books and websites about fanzines and music design.
