Sathu is studying MSc Data Science. Before coming to study at City, University of London he was working as a process analyst for Google.
Why did you decide to apply to study at City?
My passion to pursue a master's in IT has driven me to explore the best universities in the world, offering versatile world class computer science programmes. City offered all the components I was expecting from a global university.
Once you’d received offers from different universities how did you make your decision to choose City?
Based on the criteria I had to narrow down the options available globally. City seemed very promising fulfilling all my requirements academically and culturally. I enjoy engaging and discussing with my lecturers. I really appreciate the universities dedication towards its students. I have been happy and comfortable from almost the moment I got here.
What is your favourite thing about studying at City?
City encourages sports, games and activities, incorporating team spirit and leadership qualities. Multi-cultural activities motivate student participation in the diversified community and multi-lingual, cross cultural activities, so that students develop a sense of responsibility and integrity.
What kind of things are you involved in outside of your course?
I take pride in representing the students of my programme. I also help prospective students by sharing my experience at City as a Student Ambassador. I also volunteer at a housing group.
What do you plan to do after you graduate?
I’m thinking of continuing my education to get a blend of informatics and the healthcare sector.
What would be your top tip for our applicants?
City is offering great programmes with state-of-the-art infrastructure and education. Make sure to dive deep into the curriculum while doing your research and explore the clubs and societies that City has in store for you.
