Nora is 1st year BA History student from Hungary. She advises applicants to ensure the location and the vibe of the University fits their personality.
What were you doing before you came to study at City?
Before coming to City, I was studying in Hungary. In my free time, I was taking piano and Spanish lessons. I also did a lot of volunteering, and attended the university preparation centre, the Milestone Institute.
Why did you decide to apply to study at City, University of London?
I applied to City through Clearing. My main motivations to apply was the course structure, the course modules on offer and the fact that City is part of the University of London.
What is your favourite thing about studying at City?
Studying at City is great because the University is London-based. My course is also quite special because it is newly-launched and is taught by academics who are leaders in the industry.
What kind of things are you involved in outside of your course?
In my spare time, I work as a Marketing Student Ambassador. I am also trying to establish a History Society together with my course mates.
What do you plan to do after you graduate?
After I graduate, I would like to continue my education and do a master’s degree.
What would be your top tip for our applicants?
Think through your course preference, but also your lifestyle. Make sure the location and the vibe of the university fits your personality.
