Aagin is a 2nd year BSc Radiography student. She chose City for its placement opportunities and the support provided to her by the University.
What were you doing before you came to study at City?
I came to university straight after I did my A-levels. I have an AS-level in Psychology and an A-level in Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. I was also a prefect at my school and in my spare time I volunteered to teach elderly to use technology.
Why did you decide to apply to study at City, University of London?
City provides the best placement opportunities for my course. As it is heavily based on placements, it was important for me to get the best support whilst on placement. City also provides weekly tutoring, lecture captures and revision sessions which best suits my learning style.
What is your favourite thing about studying at City?
City is located at the heart of London and I love the city life. It has various societies and free language courses that challenge me to grow in my strengths and focus on my weaknesses. During the exam season, City library extends its opening and closing times which provides an efficient place for study.
What kind of things are you involved in outside of your course?
I am currently a mentor for first year students. I love sharing my experience and helping others to get the best out of their university life. Also, I love participating in research studies which allows me to contribute to new findings, and also earn some extra money.
What do you plan to do after you graduate?
Once I graduate, I plan to work as a Band 5 radiographer. I would like to gain experience in a different country, and I am also considering further studies.
