About
Overview
Olive is currently pursuing a PhD in Food Policy at City, University of London as part of the UKRI-BBSRC- funded doctoral training programme focused on developing a healthy and sustainable food future. Her research interests lie in highlighting people's experiences of food after migration as evidence for policy.
Previously, Olive was in the Office of Evaluation at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Rome, managing and/or supporting project and thematic evaluations aimed at assessing FAO’s contributions to the achievement of food security, improved nutrition, sustainable agriculture and climate change adaptation at the country, regional and global level. She obtained her MPhil from Stellenbosch University, South Africa, where her research focused on food system transformation in the Cape Town area.
