About
Overview
Aria Kosari is a PhD student in Computer Science at City University. His research is in the area of Connected & Autonomous Vehicles (CAVs), using statistical modelling to observe the impact on safety of cyber-attacks on different vehicular components. His aim is to develop a model with accurate parameters for a vehicle which can be used to evaluate the cyber-resilience and safety of any vehicle in future, with statistical models using different distributions to realistically model the behaviour of different parts of the vehicle. From this, a methodology should also be developed for evaluating safety and security in CAVs. He has collaborated with the European Institute of Technology (EIT) and Connected Places Catapult (CPC) as part of the project given that they were both initially funding partners of the PhD in 2021.
