About me
I bring together over 20 years of expertise covering a wide array of business advisory services. I initiated my career, spending over a decade with the Big 4, where I worked in assurance, advisory and training.
Prior to joining Mazars, I was part of the Executive Management team at the DoT where my role was to enable the Transport Sector to meet the strategic targets set by the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.
I was part of the tender preparation & evaluation committees and served as point man for external consultants dealing with the DoT. I have worked closely with ADIO to prepare the 5-year strategy document for the Abu Dhabi Transportation sector.
I have spent a year in the KSA as Country CFO for BT Al Saudi, a British Telcom JV, where my role was to direct and oversee the financial activities for the country business as well as managing statutory reporting and requirements along with providing financial discipline and leadership working closely with BT and Saudi shareholders.
I was responsible for the deployment of business strategy, providing financial leadership to translate strategy into practical solutions. My key responsibilities were to define, implement & support an effective and efficient Business Control process, as part of Management with adequate information to enable the business to meet its KPIs.
Prior to that, I have served three years as a CFO in Siemens - Transmission & Distribution for the GCC, catering mainly to the Utility Sector the likes of ADWEA, DEWA, SEWA and FEWA.
On a side note, I’ve also served as Mentor/ Advisor with the London City Incubator - The Incubator works with potential high growth technologies, projects, and companies in need of business commercialization support.
The incubator specializes in commercial feasibility, market research, business planning and business development support for incubated projects. The key milestone for early-stage projects is commercial viability and proof of concept.
The key milestone for later stage projects is “investment readiness” as determined by private equity / venture capital and / or angel sources. The incubator specializes in three key sectors, to include: medical devices, clean/ green technology, and high growth creative industries.
Currently, apart from Transaction Advisory, I am also heading Mazars Academy and Mazars Halo - an initiative to provide SME Incubation & Accelerator Advisory services in Mazars UAE.
