Marina Buraga studied at City, University of London, and graduated in 2012.
What is the best thing about studying in London?
I never experienced such diversity in people and variety of places to visit, but in London, the world is at your fingertips.
Why did you choose your course?
I always wanted to learn a bigger picture of how the economy functions in our world, how the decisions about the economy are made, and what part do businesses play in influencing the economy, people and government.
Why did you choose to study it at City?
City is a high quality university, that is located in the centre of the city. It appealed to me by its proximity to all major London attractions. It also provides students with excellent career service, supporting them even after graduation.
What was your favourite topic within your study area?
My favourite topic was financial markets. It teaches you everything you need to know about investing in various financial instruments. It is very useful for people who is aiming at career in finance or plan to earn some money by investing in financial instruments.
If you could give one bit of advice to a prospective City student, what would it be?
My advice to prospective students would be to use every opportunity in City to reach your life goals. If you don't have a goal, get one!
