Liisi studied for a master's degree in Culture, Policy and Management at City, University of London, and graduated in 2014.
Originally from a performing arts background, Liisi now is now the person responsible for marketing all the activities, work and information arising from the current Estonian Presidency of the European Union, July-December 2017. ‘Attending the MA CPM course has been an extremely valuable experience for me. Each module provided me with profound knowledge of arts management and laid a strong foundation for my understanding of cultural policies.’
‘I chose the role of culture in nation branding as a dissertation topic and the knowledge I gained while researching this topic has had a strong impact on my professional life as I now work for the institution that is responsible for running the Estonian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. As part of the communications team I not only get to experience first-hand what I had researched for my dissertation but the skills and the knowledge of marketing, politics etc that I had gained through my MA CPM course are put to use every day. I think that my experience at City has given me confidence to pursue my further career goals.’
