Julia studied for a degree in International Political Economy at City, University of London, and graduated in 2017.
"My name is Julia Drahoss and I am a 2017 City, University of London graduate. During my studies of BSc International Political Economy, I developed a particular interest in the underlying drivers of monetary policy in the wake of the European Debt Crisis.
My lecturers at City were not only experts in their field, engaging in cutting edge research themselves, but also they were truly enthusiastic about teaching, which made lectures and tutorials both academically stimulating and engaging. The structure of the degree enabled me to tailor my studies towards the areas that I am most passionate about. I thus investigated the drivers of the ECB’s policy response to the European Debt Crisis for my final year dissertation project. This autumn I am starting my graduate studies at Columbia University in New York, where I will be specializing in International Finance and Economic Policy. I am thrilled to have received the Paul A. Volcker scholarship for Economics to support my studies at Columbia University and look forward to my next chapter as a City graduate.”
