Claire studied for a master's in Energy and Environmental Technology and Economics at City, University of London and graduated in 2004.
A year after graduating from the MSc Energy and Environmental Technology and Economics at City, Claire used the knowledge she developed whilst writing her dissertation to adapt her career from a UK energy perspective to a European procurement in Energy career.
Following completion and due to the availability to strong networking systems on the course, Claire was headhunted into the UK government as the lead for the UK Government procurement role. After many years in the public sector, Claire went onto join GlaxoSmithKline as the Global Energy Director.
Having an MSc from City has spring-boarded my career, my network and my personal learning on an exciting and quickly evolving subject! I completed the MSc course a few years ago and found the content and style perfect to fit into my working life and also reach my career goals. The flexible courses and face to face lessons were excellent for not just concentrated learning but also networking. Having external industry recognised teachers and content was critical as the subject matter evolves faster than research alone can provide.
