Overview
Dr Patrick Oyibo has his educational background in Medicine and Surgery, and postgraduate qualifications in Epidemiology, Healthcare Management, and Public Health.
He joined the City, University of London in September 2022 as a Lecturer in Public Health. Prior to this, he worked as a Lecturer in Preventative Health and Equity at Bangor University, North Wales, United Kingdom, and Lecturer in Community Medicine and Public Health at Delta State University, Abraka, Nigeria.
Patrick also worked in various roles in the health sector including working as Consultant Public Health Physician, Coordinator for Postgraduate Medical Residency Training, Project Coordinator for HIV/AIDs Control as well as Focal Person for TB control at the Delta State University Teaching Hospital, Oghara, Nigeria.
His research interests in the field of Public Health include the policy and management systems for provision and delivery of various disease control programmes and health interventions, health financing as well as public health inequalities and inequities in sub-Saharan African countries..
He is a fellow of the West African College of Physicians (Faculty of Community Health) where he served as examiner for the Postgraduate Medical Membership and Fellowship examinations in Community Health. He is also a fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health and Higher Education Academy respectively.
